OUCH!

We had a scare last week when Dave woke up in excruciating pain Wednesday morning. We were all packed and ready to go to Utah for a little vacation... but Dave had to rush off to the ER. He ended up staying all day and being admitted to the hospital later that evening. After 2 days of pain, and fasting, the doctors took him into surgery and removed his gallbladder. We learned first hand why so many people we know say to never go to this particular hospital... too bad we had to learn the hard way! The surgery went well and now Dave is at home and doing so much better! This is a picture of Dave the day he got to come home from the hospital (Saturday).

Thanks to all of our family and friends who helped us through this hard time!
PS... try not to ever have your husband stay in the hospital for 4 days and have surgery while you're still recovering from childbirth and trying to take care of a newborn and 2 rascal kids!! Thank goodness for friends and family!! :)

PSS needless to say, our trip to Utah had to be canceled

Ugh! Sad that you can't come up! Wanted to see Grace! Glad Dave is doing better.

Ah, so sorry Dave had to go through that! I too have those horrible scars from the Lapriscopic surgery. I felt that excruciating pain as we moved all across the United States 7 years ago.... and to think I thought it was just a really bad chinese dish from Urbana, Illinois.

I had my Gall bladder out when my oldest was just 4 weeks old. Ironically, we too had planned a big trip to New York that weekend too. Well, atleast my bags were already packed for the hospital!
